Adolescence is a particularly hard time for children. They are experiencing all kinds of new changes in their bodies and in their feelings. As well, they often feel misunderstood as they are struggling to leave behind their childhood and become adults. The image of my 15 year old son wants to explain this division between what is still, and what will become.

With my camera around my neck I went skiing. Not shure if this was a good idea but I came on the best spot and this photo made my day.

I visited Austria two weeks ago for a one week vacation. Together with my girlfriend we decided to do a hike to one of the beautiful mountain tops in Austria. This was around 3.5 hours up(top was at 2508m and we started at 1000m). We barely made it to the top because we were untrained & unprepared but after motivating each other we finally made it to the top in 4,5 hours. I have to say that this was one of the best feelings ever. To walk in nature, seeing nobody but mother nature itself and winning that mind game you keep playing with yourself on the way to the top, priceless experience!

We were filming a promotional video for the Nautique G21 Boat in Kärnten, Austria. Having completed most of the shots during golden hour, there was some time left over to take some photos. The Photo was taken after I was dropped off on a Waterski platform to get a different angle of the boat driving by.

We were surprised to catch a bit of snow in the middle of July up in the Alpine mountains, but it was amazing! We drove through clouds up to the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe and its fascinating view of Austria’s Alps.

I took this image the second time I flew in a small airplane. I was just able to capture a absolutely incredibly sunrise over the alps a few minutes before when I saw this georgeous scene. Two clouds were hovering above the peaks of the mountains visible in the image and were beautifully lit by the sun whereas the valley near to them still was in darkness.

It had been a nice vacation in austria so far, but the weather had been quite unsatisfying the whole week. Though it was the middle of summer, our shirts had been staying in the suitcase every day. Plus it had been constantly cloudy. Carrying my heavy camera around seemed like a mockery. When we arrived at the top of the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun, which is 3029 metres high, the sun finally came out. It lasted for about five minutes at most. But that was enough to take a few pictures.

So after not having been able to see a sunrise at my first flight, I decided to do a second trip, quite a bit of time later though. I got up at half past four and drove to the airport. We planned to take-off at about 10 minutes before five so we could see the sun rising at around 5:00. Everything went well and we were in the air circling around and waiting for the sun to rise above those mountains. After several minutes of waiting I finally saw it. The sun, a giant ball of plasma, has just risen above the mountains and shone in a deep red. I really never saw such a beautiful thing like that.

I was going to another place called Dachstein Mountain, to walk on a suspension bridge, but it was so snowy that day, that I decided to not go. So when I was walking in the forest, I found this incredible place and I didn’t think twice, put my drone to fly and took this photo

After a stormy night, the peaks are mostly covered with the mantle of low hanging clouds, I love this Suchet!

On an offline retreat, we stayed in the cottage which can be seen to the lower left-hand side in the far distance. We did a hike around the lake and this is the view that we were presented with. It’s incredibly beautiful up there in the summer and we always experience some sunshine as well as snowy/rainy days, perfect for some sauna time. The views are stunning and breathtaking. This is a self-portrait and I am happy for you to use it. Please message me, if you do, so that I can share your work.

In the beautiful Zillertal, next to the Krimmler waterfalls is, a bit hidden, the very cozy and romantic Zittauer Hütte. This picture was taken on a rather cloudy day after a hike to the nearby mountains when the sky cleared up and revealed the absolutely brilliant view to the hut and the nearby lake.

That day we just got back from a super exhausted hiking and I head into this only Billa supermarket try to grab some food before it closed, while other students just went back directly to the Hotel. But when I got out that’s what I saw. Like, suddenly, I fell nothing but joy and lucky.

Hallstatt is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Its famous view is the one showing a beautiful church but I kinda loved this one, a lonely chair to relax and enjoy the views to the lake and mountains.

Evolving clouds landscape makes me euphoric after a long solo ascent in a mineral playground. It’s a timer photo integrated in a wide angle photo from the same point of view.

I tried to capture the Grimming in Upper Styria (Austria) together with my buddy Christian. Unfortunately there was too much fog so we decided to just try other compositions. This endless road is what we came up with. Shot in the middle of the night with nearly no light at all.

I was out working for our local newspaper. The weather was clear in the beginning but changed quickly. I turned round and saw the hut called “Zimmereben in the region of Mayrhofen/Zillertal/Tyrol. The black and white gives that photo a touch of mystery to.
